Disney & Marvel Television to provide advanced special presentation to military service members of The Punisher: One Last Kill

Disney & Marvel Television are providing a special early screening of the Punisher: One Last Kill (Disney+ One Shot) exclusively for Marines and Sailors, in addition to other armed force members and their dependents, at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton & Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune.

Fans have eagerly awaited the return of Jon Bernthal‘s Punisher since his original portrayal in Netflix’s original series. In the upcoming Disney produced special, Frank Castle searches for meaning beyond just revenge, as an unexpected force pulls him back into the fight.

Jon Bernthal has talked about his reverence for the character and has been a strong advocate for military service and law enforcement members.

The passion Bernthal brings to the character has resonated throughout the community bringing a whole new appreciation for the property.

The series updated the mythology of the character to resonate with a more contemporary audience. Frank Castle historically is a United States Marine Corps scout sniper that served in Vietnam and found solace with his wife and children, after the war. Until one day his family is murdered from the crossfire between mafia crime members at a New York park.

The television series has kept the foundation of the character while modernizing the Force Recon Marine to have deployed to fight in the Battle of Fallujah, during the Global War on Terror [GWOT era: 2001 - 2021].

The updated story focuses on veteran, Frank Castle, fraught with trauma. From his multiple tours to Iraq & Afghanistan, following with the unrelenting loss of his family. Frank battles the balance of his beliefs as he faces the current corruption from within his own ranks and society.

The Punisher: One Last Kill Advanced Screening: May 5, 2026 (Tuesday)
